When I first got it I was a little confused because it came with the ash catcher with an open bottom and a wax container. But you just take half of the wax container and pop on it on the bottom. It helps keep all the ashes and other pieces that pop through out of your bong. Recommend if you are like me and tired of having to clean your bong pit every day just to keep it looks half way clean
